Looking for a good place to install a catback exhaust in houston. Anyone know a good place and whats the avg cost of an install?

Cost is purely dependent on the how much money the shop thinks they can get out of you. With the same exact parts, for a old beater 98 mustang $125, for a flashy E60, $550 on up.

Yeah that's exactly what I'm thinking and those are the type of places I'm trying to avoid. So if anyone knows anywhere good please chime in.

Still trying to figure out what the DME is and it supposedly being bad has to do with though.

I wish I remember the place I got my exhaust in Houston. I got a full mandrel bent exhaust to the bumper on my then new to me Trans Am. When we negotiated the price it was $300 if I lost the race with his drag car, and 0 if I won. After the exhaust was installed we raced in front of his shop and I paid nothing.

Those were the good old days
