I took a few hot laps today since I just broke the car in 1200+ miles now. I noticed when I pulled into my garage, even while the engine was running, that it was crackling a LOT. I've heard the noise in other cars, but not usually until the car is shut off. Is this normal? Was wondering if it had anything to do with removing the two small resonators over the weekend. Basically i commuted home for about 20-30 minutes and then did some spirited drivig for another 10 minutes.
Unless this is related, the resonator (cannister type) removal has produced a very nice sound. Can definitely tell the car has a V-8 now, although it is very mild. I find myself unnecessarily shifting gears with the SMG for the "blip" effect. The look on people's faces is hilarious, they must think I'm actually a good driver.

It could very well be the new pipe(s) that was installed over the weekend is "breaking in". Especially if you had it running hot.

No I did not hear it when running, only because I was never outside the car with it on.
I have about 2200 miles on mine and still does it. Maybe the weather though.
