I have a 2008 535i, and I'd like to add more usable interior space to it. I noticed that, in the 2009/2010 model, they added an extra hole in the center console, above the ashtry/cigarette lighter, which is perfect for storing a cell phone, toll transponder, etc.

Can anyone tell me if it's possible to change my center console, and if so, how much cost/effort it will be...?

Do you have Nav? I thought all non nav equipped cars have the cubbie. Both my pre and post LCI cars have them , but neither had nav. The Post LCI car the cubbie is a little deeper then the pre one, but both are deep enough to hold an iphone

 

Yes, I do have the Nav...does tht mean there's no room for the cubby, because of the nav computer?
