I had the same clunk but now since Ive been using it more regularly it has calmed down a lot.

I think excessive wind noise is subjective but with the headliner panel closed mine isn't noticeable. I still may have the seal checked next trip to see the SA.

Mine fails to close about 2-3 times and then clunks down. You guys are lucky.

OK, so it's not just me. Unfortunately... I bought the car 1 week after manufacturer warranty expired. Been expired for like 2 months now. You guys are funny... been closing the shade and turning up the radio too! I do that too! Gonna take it to the stealer anyway and see what they say. Cheap fix, I will fix it... stealer fix... and i will live with it

I would tell the dealer it has been doing it from day 1 of your owning the car and that they should perhaps still fix it for you as a gesture of concern for their customers. After all it was JUST after the warranty had expired and for all you know it was doing this when it was previously owned. Let us know how it turns out. And by the way, I also had this issue with my car too and it took them SEVERAL attempts to make it MOSTLY go away! I should also add that my sunroof also was leaking, so take care of it ASAP! Good Luck!

there is a BMW bulletin about noise when closing your moonroof. I just had mine done. The SA said they have to shave a portion of the plastic piece behind the glass moonroof. Regarding the wind noise when your moonroof is shut, I thought is was normal although, I always wonder since my E39 doesn't have this problem. I might need another trip to the Dealer to complain about it. Has anyone resolve this problem?
