Error P0012 2008 528i 3.0

Error P0012 2008 528i 3.0
I replaced both Vanos valves, drove and light cleared itself. But wife drove home and error returned. Should I just replace the camshaft position sensor and where is it?? Help! Leaving town Tuesday morning.
