Default Enhanced Bluetooth for e60 help plz!

Hi,
so long story short.. i get a .bin update file from bmw's website after i put my car's vin #.. and the update enables office and what not, so i think that means its the enhanced bluetooth update.. but neither the glove box, nor armrest are picking up the usb when i put the update file on it.. and yes, formatted to fat32 etc....

so i tried several times over and over again, to use ProTools and enable all the bluetooth options and kept getting stuck on connecting after trying to re-pair my phone to the car... the only other step i couldnt figure out, was the VO code that ppl said to add... but over on bimmerfest's forums, someone just told me that i would need to change my ssd file/code to that of a e9x, the modify it myself.. which would enable the COMBOX to get codded? Im just not sure how to go about doing that Im still new to coding and stuff, but i can def learn super fast lol i only have carly and protools at the moment but im gonna look for ista and inpa to download.. any1 on here feel like helping a poor fella out ? I would really appreciate it since I evne went into BMW yesterday, and the guy was clueless even after telling he's apparently been there for 10+ years dealing with all the coding and diagnostics lmao..

if anybody can help shine some light on this with/for me, plz lmk thank u all for ur time!

Then its obviously reading the USB drive. Maybe try downloading the file again or use a different USB drive. I am only referring to the software update issue.

I was only addressing your updating the iDrive software, not your Bluetooth issue. You could possibly have a bad module.
