The September issue of Automobile magazine has an interesting on the new Spring 2011 next generation six series. For the 6 series BMW is working with Gertrag on a new seven-speed dual paddleshift transmission, DSG. New engines include a twin-turbo 400 hp V-8 and a twin turbo 300 hp 3 liter diesel. Other goodies include: mild hybrid, high performance energy storage elements, active cruise control with brake to stop, variable dampening control with adjustable springs, active rear differential, and enhanced head up display. My personal assumption is that most of these elements will be offered in the F10 arriving in the summer/fall in the US and earlier in Europe. Hopefully BMW will offer their diesel engines by then in the US.

I agree that most of this stuff will probably be in the F10 -- the turbo V8 sounds fun!

Obviously, the DSG is something we've all expected and the brake to stop cruise is already available on the E60...
