Engine warning "Cat converter fault"
#1
Started the car at 2F (-17C) today. It didn't like it
Service engine light came on and Warnig poped on the idrive to tell me to drive moderately and Cat converter fault.
Went away after the car warmed up. Anyone else?
Was the converter frosen? water inside? condencate? The car was parked overnight at pretty cold temps
Does the car store the faults? going to dealer on Wednesday will check

I had the same problem with my car a few ago. They change all 6 of my ignition coils. I drive my car pretty hard. I'm a real BMer driver. They also said a more heavy duty wiring was installed. Sounds like you have the same problem. It was a quick fix.
