I just bought this car and I noticed a slight skip sometimes during downshifts and sometimes during acceleration between 20 and 60 mph. Like I said it doesn't happen all the time but often enough to get on my nerves. I took it to bmw and all they did was drive it and said nothing was wrong. I know this might not be
a new topic but I wanted some advice. If my 12k chevy trailblazer doesn't do it then surely my bmw shouldn't either. Should I take it back to bmw and demand
that they do more diagnostics or is this something that's just normal for these cars. I need to do come to some conclusion soon before my 30 days is up and for
my own peace of mind. Thanks,
2005 bmw 545i

coldweather, premium sound, heads up display, front/rear heated seat, navi/bluetooth/satellite, heated steering wheel

BMW will tell you it's completely normal. Your problem is going to be replicating the problem with your dealer. I bought my car in April and am looking at letting it go because I'm worried about these little things creeping up and costing a fortune. Your point is clear... other, far less expensive cars don't seem to have the trouble that this car has. This thing is just so fully of technology and stuff that I'm concerned with the overall cost to own long term.

know what you mean. I had to get stern and tell them they will do more than just drive the car. I made an appt. for them to do some real diagn. If it's not fixed to my liking I will tell them to keep it. I'm sure they don't
want that. Glad it's a buyer's market....
