Any dealer should be able to give you a printout for your car. Using realoem.com and last 7 digits says a 530i built 10/2004 (happy birthday)

I think a member also does this for free in the DIY forum but he takes awhile to get back to you. Also another member charges around $ 5 for this service which isn't bad. Check out the private classified section.
