Anybody recommend Royal purple or Motul racing oil? I am thinking about trying one of these out and would like to get someone's suggestion, I am looking to get a stronger running engine.

Had mine replaced with Redline Synthetic High performance between dealer intervals. It's about $10 a quart. a mechanic friend of mine uses it on his porcshe and BMW
I heard Redline was good which grade/viscosity did you get, did you notice your engine running/smoother faster in comparison to standard BMW synthetic oil. thanks

Royal Purple is very good stuff. One of the top oils on the market. I'm sure some on here use it. It won't say on its bottle that its BMW approved but it exceeds those standards. Many times these extra ratings are nothing more then deals struck between the oil MFG and auto MFG.
