It is very cold here today -31 C (-24F). After driving a block the car gave two errors - Engine Malfunction - reduce power, AND, DSC Error - Drive with caution (I forget the exact wording of the second message, but something like that).

The engine went into limp mode (maximum 1300 rpm), and the traction control was off (this is not a good thing when the roads are covered with ice).

I got the car home, put it in the garage (unheated), started the car 10 minutes later and everything is back to normal.

This is very frustrating, as my Dealer normally says if there is no error messages, they can't diagnose the problem.

Does anybody have a similar experience, or guess as to what the problem is.

The ctrl-alt-delete fixes a lot of error messages but if it keeps coming back you need to get it back to the dealer. I have not heard the specific problem you had but check here first before you go to dealer. It helps if you hear the fix here and then give the dealer the heads-up on the fix.
