ENGINE OR AC CLUNK WHEN STARTING

I have a 08 528i and when I start the car regardless of operating temp or AC on or off, there is a loud clunk immediately after engine start up. I'm
concerned and want to know if this is common or if I may have a problem!

My Ride: '06 530i, '07 C280 4matic, '98 ML320
Drop the engine belt, start the car; if the noise is there, then the noise is coming from engine. If not, one of the accessory on the belt] is the cause of the clunk - like AC compressor, PS pump, water pump, etc.
