Whilst there's lots of info on Swirl Flap removal, I can't find a definitive answer to this particular problem. I had the swirl flaps on my 2005 530d Sport removed today and the "Reduced Emissions!" error is up. No performance issues but the garage that removed them removed the control rod and the pump as well as the flaps themselves. Is this the problem? If so, what should be put back and how to cure the error message?

 

Maybe some vacuum tube or electrical plug has left unplugged.

I'm worried that the problem comes from him taking out the Vacuum pump and control rod - Anzafin, in your tutorial, you left these in place right?
