Emissions Inspection Notification?
An emissions inspection notification just came up and I have no idea what its for.
Why would there be an emissions inspection when one is performed during the biennial smog check? And then some date is shown in 2011. I've owned the car for 12 years and that emissions inspection notification has never come up before.

The car inspection notification popped up on my car the first year I had it.
I figured it would pop up each year and I would reset it, just like when you get other warnings.
After I reset it manually, its never popped up again.

Ah it seems like just a courtesy notification then.
That probably would be useful if the DMV did not already send me notification three months before my smog is due.
