My Ride: 2007 Sapphire Black Metallic 525i. Beige Dakota Leather, Premium package, bluetooth, BMW Assist, Xenon adaptive lights, Sirius radio
I am pretty sure my 07 525i has a 3 litre 215hp engine.
Is it an N52? Looking for correct engine nomenclature so I can find DIY for MAF sensor cleaning

Yes, you have the N52. Although the MAF cleaning technique is not that different among the engines (especially the I6 engines). You shouldn;t have a problem finding a DIY - if all else fails PM member V_therussian, he posted a DIY for your engine not long ago, he has a 530 but essentially the same engine.
