When my steering wheel moves up and down as I get in and out of the car it makes some squeaky noises like it is in need of grease. Is there a DIY on this?

Ur welcome .... But also loosen that nut on the linkage,, that's really the cause of the sqeeky vibration . Mine was really loud before I did that, now its really quiet , u can only hear the sound of the motor spinning. Which is really nice

be extremely careful if you crawl under the dash and lean against the plastic that goes around the seat... that plastiuc breaks... and there is no way you can lay under that dash without a real nightmare , no room to lay (hold light to see) and work wiothout severe back pain.. and hopefully no broken cheap plastic parts! Also, if you don't get it rigtyh the first time,, you have to do it again... unless soemone found an easier way!

I loosen that too when I greased and read your post the first time. I turned it back 1/2 to 2/3 of a turn. Although when I put everything back together the noise seems to be gone. Maybe it was because i had the column out to the extremes? I will see if it holds. Thanks for you posts.

That should do the trick. I actually took the nut off and put it back on . I hand tightened it and gave it a hair more just barely snug .. The sqeek has not come back at all, its been a few months now. If the squeak comes back u might have to loosen it a bit more to relieve the metal to metal pressure on the bracket. A 1/2 turn might not have been enough to release the pressure. Back that nut off completely raise and lower the column then put the nut back on just don't tighten it hard.
