Thumbs up

I was washing our other vehicle last weekend (after washing the 530 of course ) and I noticed the sound of small electric motors/actuators/servos coming from the BMW. My key was inside the house nowhere near the car. I have noticed these sounds before.

I'm not too worried about this as I haven't had any electrical problems but I was wondering what they were.

Anybody know?

Nick

Hey McFly That'z your SMG pump getting ready. The car knows (or thinks) you are getting ready to fire it up. That'z whay its doing that. Do you rather sit in the car and wait for pressure to build up before you can leave

It will also release the pressure if after you leave for a while... figure there ain't gonna be action for a while.

check it out And quit reading this board so you can be paranoid at everything on your car

cheers,

beewang

Yes! Mines the same. Its the electronic angle variator at the back of the ashtray, its a standard item previously a ?500 option on the 2003 model!
