All you gear heads out there,

I just bought a E92 M3 convertible and would like to get new wheels for it. My question is will the stock 18" wheels fit on my 07 550?

Thanks in advance!

No, offset is different.

With Hubcentric spacers, and longer lug bolts, anything is possible.

Not advised though.

IF M3 WHEELS ARE LIKE THESE (STYLE260)

8,5 x 18 Front ET29
9,5 x 18 Rear ET23

YOU ONLY NEED FOR EXAMPLE 10MM FRONT SPACER, REAR IS FINE WITHOUT SPACER

Just a side question...

If spacers are not advised, why would tirerack sell me a set of Breytons with spacers for the rear?

It's not that anyone was against spacers. I think we we were all assuming that the E92 M3's offsets were more like that of the E46. The E92 M3's offesets are ET29 front, ET23 rear though. So, you could run 10-12MM spacers in the front and the rear would be fine without spacers. The hub sizes look to be the same on the E92 and E60 at 72.56mm.

So, Yes you can use your E92 M3 takeoffs on your 550. Sorry for the earlier misinformation.

Thanks, if someone has time, please give me a quick lessons on offsets and exactly how

M3
8.5X18 29mm Offset Front
9.5x18 23mm Offset Rear

550
8x18 20mm Offset Front
9x18 32mm Offset Rear

equates to just a 10-12mm spacer needed for the front wheels only?

Please forgive my ignorance on this matter. Thanks in advance!

High offset pushes the wheels closer to the center of the car, narrow stance. Lower offsets pushes the wheels to the outside of the car, wider stance. That being said....

E92 M3
8.5X18 29mm Offset Front
9.5x18 23mm Offset Rear

E60 550
8x18 20mm Offset Front
9x18 32mm Offset Rear

E60 M5
8.5x19ET12 FRONT
8.5x19ET28 REAR

E63 M6
8.5x19 ET12 FRONT
9.5x19 ET17 REAR

Members running M166(M5 wheels) on their NON M5 E60's are running standard ET12 front and standard ET28 rears. Some add 12mm spacers to the rears to give them an effective ET16 rear offset. Some are running M6 offset M166 rears(ET17)

Running spacers with M5 offsets or M6 offsets on the rears pushes the rears out and makes the wheels almost flush with the wheel well, giving the rear a wider more aggressive stance.
