E61 stored codes, anything to worry about?
Currently looking at an E61 at an out of state dealership. Seems decently clean aside from a leaky oil filter gasket and slow auto rear hatch. I had the car PPI’d and they pulled the following codes from memory. Seems like most of them are not currently active except for a few sensors.
My question is: is it something to worry about that a bunch of them are showing the same mileage? Does this mean they may have been cleared out by selller and are waiting to pop back out? I’m used to older cars, not super informed about the E6x computer system yet.
Also seeing a CID malfunction due to periphery error thats showing at ~352k km which is way higher than the vehicle mileage… What’s up with that?
Would definitely appreciate any advice!

You could search all the codes on this forum, you'll come up with discussions like this: https://5series.net/forums/e60-discu...-150698/page2/ This is an LCI car, so you probably don't have to worry about whether anyone tried doing LCI upgrades and not getting them quite right. Different mileage on the report could indicated that one of the control modules has been replaced and it retains old programming. A2B1 relates to your liftgate hydraulic pump - if the tailgate is operating slowly, you may need to swap that out - there are second hand parts available from wreckers and on ebay. Check to see if it has maintenance records. If it's at a dealer have them print out the dealer network maintenance history. Clear the codes and do a vigorous test drive including some wide open throttle at various speeds, check to make sure the transmission functions properly and check for codes again after the test drive. Good luck.

My car usually has miscellaneous stored codes but if it's driving fine and there's no iDrive notifications, I don't worry about it.

unfortunately the car’s far out of state so i wont have the chance to drive it myself. these codes were all pulled after a test drive (that went well by all accounts) so i assume anything hiding would have popped back up after that.
it’s got a lot of dealer service records, didnt realize you could request those. definitely will do that in the AM.
