How different is the throttle response on these?

I find 550's throttle response to be very sluggish. It takes at least .5 secs before it really responses. Hence I am thinking of getting a sprintbooster.
The 650 definitely gives you the impression that it digs out faster. It makes sense that the BMW engineers are tuning the performance to the expectation of the buyer, after all the 550 is still a 4 door sedan , you know for sedate , mature drivers

To increase throttle response you can also get a remap

I agree 100%. That's why I got the Dinan stage 1. It improves initial throttle response somewhat, but it makes a drastic difference at 1/3 throttle in the sweet spot (2-4k rpms). It now chirps the tires occasionally in that range. But there is still some delay. I suspect the little delay is due to the tuning of the torque converter? My 740i sport had a razor sharp throttle response. But the M division specified the torque converter in that car....?

Good luck whatever you choose.

The Sprintbooster has a price . Increase the response through the map is free for who has to do it .
