I think I'd go for an M5 before the 7...unless the new 7 looks better than the current one...any spy pics of the new 7? I haven't seen any yet.

Hey guys, I saw a new 745i, black...today and it blew me away....awesome looking car! Although I find the price of the new 745i to be a little more than I care to spend right now. I'm about to order a 545i in December or January and do the European delivery thing. And I'm still wondering about the SMG vs Steptronic....there's a guy near my office with a 530i SMG who's offered to let me drive his car....so I hope that will help me decide.

The seven grew on me about 1 or 2 years ago. At the beginning, I could not even look at it. Now I just love it.

But hey...i heard the 5 is a 7 wannabe or a baby_7?

Wait until the 7's reliability record improves before you get one.

I allways liked the 7 series design, but I wanted to have the sportier car instead, so I went with the 545...

This should give you an idea of what a great dealer I have: After placing my order for the 545, I test drove a 745 and my wife absolutely loved it. Caught up in her excitement and the fact that I wouldn't have to wait for my new car, I bought it. That night, I couldn't sleep because I felt that I had made the wrong decision. Like Iceman, I wanted the sportier car (especially the SMG). So I went back to the dealer the next day and told them I wasn't happy. They agreed to take the car back at no loss to me! The dealer, on the other hand, had to sell the car as used because the registration paperwork had already gone through.

Although I looked like an indecisive jackass, I think I made the right decision to stick with the 545. BTW, the dealership is Roseville BMW.
