E60 valve issue
I was sitting at a red light, when all of a sudden the car started misfiring so bad I could hardly keep it running.
pulled codes and it said cylinder 1 misfire. I pulled #1 spark plug, and found the plug electrode has been hit and bent . I assume she dropped a valve, not sure yet. Tried compression test, #1 has zero, #2 has 240 lbs.
I assume she dropped a valve…. Any thoughts?

Seems like a good theory.

Thanks for pointing me that way! I was thinking about the disa, but when I saw the spark plug damaged, my mind instantly went to dropped valve. When I get back to it, I’ll dig into that angle, gonna have to pull the intake either way I guess.
wish me luck!

I've also seen a couple threads where the valve spring key comes out. Don't remember if they were engine specific.
