E60 Trans Fault. Can engage gear without pressing brake
I have a 2006 525i that’s in limp mode because of a transmission fault I’m getting. It will allow me to move from park to drive without pressing the brake. At first I thought it was a neutral safety switch, now I’m not sure what it could be.

The tranny is not that simple. Go get it diagnosed by a BMW indy mechanic or you can try using a BMW code reader / inpa ista software.
