Default e60 sun visor light stays on without mirror open

Whenever i flip my sun visor down the light immediately turns on; While on my passenger side the light only turns on when the visor is down AND the mirror is open, like it should though right? Only asking because it’s a bit annoying especially when there’s sun + a light in your face. Is it the mirror slide causing this, the visor itself or a fuse? please help, thankyou to anyone.

Seems like a stuck switch. You probably need to replace the visor.

I would at least try cycling the plastic cover back and forth a few times to see if it might "unstick" the switch contacts. Of course, if it DID turn the light off, personally I'd never touch it again (not that much into staring at my own face I guess).

Or, if you don't want it to turn on at all, unplug the connector or remove the bulb.
