Merry X'mas to all.

BTW, I caught the Dell GPS at a friendly neighbourhood Esso Station recently. If I'm not wrong, they're selling Dell products now.

The Dell looks a little like the NUVI and is priced at SGD 988.00. I was told it's loaded with Mal-Sin maps

Ed, just curious, do you have a brother who just came back from Bangkok on Tue night? I saw this guy on an SQ plane who would resemble you in 10 years' time.

And have a wonderful new year ahead everyone.

Unfortunately I am the only guy amongst my mum's 5 children.

My dad, however, did have 5 other kids with his first wife but again, unfortunately, I do not know them nor the make-up of the other family, although, it would be very nice if one day....just maybe....; we could meet.

The guy you saw could possibly be related to me, but I will never know.

Well, Ed got extended family, now I know

By the way I went to test drive the IS250 today. I relly love thecar. First, it is more powerful and responsive than the 520i. 2nd, the car looks younger than the 520i. 3rd, steering wheel is meatier than the 520i. 4th, there are pedal shifts that are lacking in the 520i.

The cons are the lack of space for rear passengers, which I am fine with it. Any more minuses that I should not change to that car?

Yes, I'll give you 1 reason why you shouldn't change to the IS250. It's called the 335i. M3 matching performance. 50:50 F-R weight ratio. Active steering and crisp handling. Approx 300 BHp and I expect it to go up considerably higher once the guys at DMS or other tuning houses sort out the twin turbo engine. Nicer styling, especially the wing mirrors (compare that to the huge wing mirrors resembling paddles/oars on the IS250) and lower profile rear. Not to mention the lack of mods available for the IS250 to date. Anyway, the handling on the IS250 isn't that great to begin with. The steering is light as a feather and the car doesn't feel as grippy around tight corners when taken at speed. Also, the dials/speedometer on the IS is kind of hard to read as the numbers/numerals are way too small. I don't want to get too distracted by focusing intently on what's on the dashboard when I should be concentrating on the road instead. Just my 2 cents worth.

Yeah. I tested the 335i. It is a really balanced car. However, I did notice that the steering does get lighter at high speeds. This is no good. In the looks department, I think it's a little slim. Maybe BMW is reserving the wide stance for the M3? The paddle shifts are quite confusing. The left and right have the same operations for shifting up and down. It is very confusing expecially if you're coming from an M (left shifts down, right shifts up) like me.

Tategoi, if you're looking for a 4-door, I heard the 4-door version will be out towards end 2007. However, if its gonna be assembled in Africa, then I'd think again.

The is 250 looks good, but I have so far avoided all temptations to test the thing. However, after all that is said, if it is a problem free car you're looking for ( with a little tolerance), then I'm sure I know which brand you'll decide on.
