Check with Douglas.... his 630 had the DMS done.... but its the valvetronic N52 model.... If your engine is the M54 one, they could quite possibly bring it up to the new engine specs.....

They claim that my 525 is more powerful than the M54 3 litre unit and a 'near' match for the N52 one..... go figure....

I am planning to dyno my car tomorrow to check my bhp..... anything above 235, I will be happy.... anything above 240, I will be happier..... anything below 230, tio-pak tomorrow evening........
oh i just kay poh regarding 523i remapping potential for our bros here...
for me i have been using rob's mapping for quite sometime now!

Ed.. you and me must go for a frenly drag race one fine nite at WEST end. swee? hehehe
Not in FINE city, man. You forget that I've got 9 pts to my name plus a warning letter? Up North is not a problem. When caught, just spell oit the code word "BIASA". Better still that private runway I mentioned the last time? Its just 900 meters, but we need only half of that, ant then handbrake turn!!! Too bad you never attended ADT and IDT

A few of us are going out for drinks with Rob from DMS tonight. I'm sure there are some of you guys who'll like to find out more about this. No need for those "PML spies" who browse here now and then to find out who's showing interest, so, those interested in coming pls PM me for details. Its always good to learn about the potential of upgrades even if one doesn't actually do so.

We've yet to decide where to go to but time should be around 8.30 to 9.00 pm

Greg,

Does your car feel better after that? Feedback pls.. you guru speed demo will be able to tell... hehee.
Honestly, there was a marked difference between 545 and 645.......

Straight line acceleration should not differ unless both of you have different programs.... or maybe your car is way heavier than 545?? Engine same but body different..... Your car almost felt sluggish compared to the 'young and dashing' 545..... hahaha

Its not the i-drive. He's totally lost all CD functions. Looks like thay may check his connections and if there's no visible wrong connections, then its the software they'll attack next. If they do so, then there's a very high possibility of them (in my words) re-formatting the system.

Anyway, 16 BHP is nothing much. It may be worth considering if they can squeeze another 25 - 30% worth; otherwise for the same amount of money, he can always upgrade his WINGFLAPS!!!

okok.. NB.. take out secret weapon never tell me..
now i tempted to get hurricane filter from JC4.

But definitely its the free flow M6 mufflers that lost abit of my low end... not much back pressure and no more tighter idling during stationary.

If i were to compete with a stock 645 coupe esp with the stupid heavy RFTs, i have confident beating him hands down... Good thing the Car is equipped with Dynamic drive.. else it will be rolling like a sampan!

Btw, have you got your spare tyres removed?

Yo, I think the 645 is much younger than my 545. Furthermore he's done only 11K plus Km whilst the 545 has had its fairshare of road space @ 35K Km. Its been up north only once and has been well cared for by yours truely and PML.

I'll share a little secret; it "breathes" better and feels lighter because of the KNN that I have on. It makes some difference. Wheelwise, I've got 10.2Kg RS-GTs whilst he's got my M6 rims, if I'm not wrong @ approx 12.8 Kg? Other than that the 645 should weigh more because its a cabrio.
Oh btw, Greg and myself witness whistling sound from your aircon.. something is wrong.

I hear the hurricane filters are better than the KNN ones..... but I hear from another source that the STOCK one is da best......

Confused (and broke), I stick to the cheapest option, the stock one...

Bro.. my stock has got no sponge at the bottom of the paper filter, means it looks like a K&N filter but will get clog from time to time...

Nevertheless, Its time to change.. paper filter not good for high rev.. try putting a pc of paper at our mouth and run 100m! haha.. think i will be the first to collapse!!
