hey guys.....i got a prob here.can't seem to get the headlight washers to work. i know u got to have the lights on n it works when u activate the windscreen washer. tried it both when the car is stationary n when it is moving but it doesn't work at all. wat r ur experiences w this?
you can tell by flipping the small retractable window on the bumper.. there is a actuator with nozzle that sticks out when you have the headlight on and it works when you clean the windshield.

oh yes...hold on to the lock button and you will see the mirrors fold in. If yours is not working, then you share the same software issue as what many ppl have here. Just upgrade the software...
Does activating the folding mirrors by remote function cancel the standard function of closing/opening all windows by remote? I hope its in an addition and not instead of function. Could you give it a try and let me know?
I wish to have both functions and not just one of them, as both will be useful.

Interestedin525iA,
Yes, PML has only 520s now. Other models are all out and on indent only. I was in PML today to arrest the back-sliding problem.
They increase the RPM by 100 revs and gave me my car back. They also applied the anti-static tape (Scotch-made - I was told that a reel cost them some $200.00 - true or not, well, beats me) on the door sill - so far so good. But I haven't got the chance to try the car on a slope.
I will try and report back. Meanwhile, they also change my wipers - cos I told them that they are rather noisy even if it is raining quite heavily.
They still have 7 of my other problems - maybe next time since they only returned my car at 630 pm today.

Ed520,
As far as I know, the headlight washer is not available on 520s. You can try to 'peel' the covers in front of the headlights (peels ouwards). I tried this in PML today on the showroom 520, it can't even open.
Even on the 530s, the manual did not elaborate on the headlight washer - one has to turn on the headlight and activate the windscreen washer to also wash the headlight. Why turn on the headlight? Well the logic is simple - if the headlight is not on, one won't need to wash them (assuming that they are dirty and the light can't throw itself out), right?

Me too, I don't mine if a few e60 owners can gather to share their knowledge and passion of the car. I believe in Unity is Strength - we should be able to better impress upon PML on the problems we face with the car - especially so when the car owner's handbook is so poorly documented and the functions in the car so very varied.

Hey All,
So when shall all the E60s meet? Suppose there was once this idea was brought up. I am certainly keen to join.
Cheers!

Glad to learn that Totoseow, Zag and Olivin are keen. Let's make it at 4.30pm on this morning Sunday Yishun dam. We could park along the side kerb.
We need to confirm the meet-up by this evening...If there is no comments on the above, I shall see you guys there!
P/S: Polish your beloved "kim kim"!
Cheers
