Mine was squeeling when the computer said they still had 15000km to go. I did a bed in process and the noise went away for maybe 3000km, and they are back; no time to try the bed in process again to see if I could get rid of the noise again.
What bedding process? Care to elaborate? Anyway our resident SA said at 40K Km mileage its time to change liao.

Mine not there yet. Only 27000+ they are already making embarassing noise.
Search the forum, a guy posted it before. Apparently not driving aggressive enough will cause the brake pad to squeel. Yup, you see it right. This is a weird car. Not driving aggressively will cause brake pads to complain, and the gear box to become lazy. :'(

PS. Can't find that post but another post pointed to this similar stuff:

the bedding in process for brakes: accelerate to 100..stepped down hard until car comes to ALMOST a stop....do it 10x. find a stretch of empty road to do it. after 10x..drive normally...n dun brake for about 3km at 100kmh...let ur brakes cool...

BZASB,

how's the springs? please update leh.

wish i can have a screen like this...

http://www.xenarc.com/product/700y.html#700Y%20Images
ya, i got the new interface too, no time to install. will call the guys after the air show.

had change my springs to eibach. for some reason my right side is lower than left.i can hear more creaks when i go up and down slopes of multi storey car parks ie from the door to window frame.may be my car not as balanced as before??did not change shocks as car stock is new and eibach springs are made to stock shocks so they claim.

looks improved alot.ride comfort better than stock not hard at all.handling definately better now more confident going round corners ar higher speed and that also probably attributed with installed stop tech brake lines.
so for 600 for springs i think good mod.
next mod body kit and m mirrors

lmk
will that screen fit our e60.and can our mac mini connect to it direct rather than via av.

This is something i wish to do too.
but this will be a big project as it involved removing the original LCD panel.

not adviseable, but if you wish to put an extra screen, i think will be a better choice.

hi LMK

i tot of doing that - actually even spoke to a plastic molder who said he can build a custom enclosure for the new screen - but i cannot figure out how to get the signals from the idrive into the screen since (even with our interface box) the connector is proprietory
