u can definitely go faster in the dry.? but after experiencing lapping a track in swimming pool conditions, we r definitely better equipped to do it in the dry.? we had more opportunities to control a sliding car.? quite a few others spun even with traction control n dsc on.? we learned different lines to avoid the water ponds which happened to collect at the apexes etc..
gimme the wet anytime....ayrtons senna's dad used to only send him to the go-kart tracks when it storms....one story i heard at IDT....

I had Keith telling me on the comms, "easy easy"
We were suppose to stay off the kerbs in the wet, but what the hell, it's their car
i can't live with the current susp with the 19" wheel.. so what is the stuff he recommended?
stock bmw sports suspension. wid DD u cant hv the m-sports too. too low ur DD will screw up the camber.
i know M-sports susp is not compatible with DD. tried that and the database won't call out the p/n against my VIN. My first thought process is that the M-sport has the characterisitic of roll control very similar to ARS or DD therefore it defeat the purpose of DD. Of course the M sport suspension is stiffer on straight driving. I read somewhere M5 controlled the roll to max 9 degree similar to DD. Of course the interaction to wheel cambering effect is the unknown here.
Shoot! so the OEM sport is still the recommended one? but those guys at Bilstein would have figured out if the PSS9 for e60 should work with ARS/DD if not they wouldn't be putting it on the spec sheet.
I know 6spdman had H&R with DD combination, dun think he is oblivious about these fact those IDT guys are claiming (Pete, what say u? ok let's get on the phone!) So who is right? Darn! Darn!
Toto, any time buddy!
Zag, yes the E90 330i is a fantastic car, have to be honest, I've sort of fallen in love with it. Brilliant chassis, very balanced, predictable and progressive near the limit. Lots of grip (tyres were PS2s), very little roll, I think the trainer cars have sports suspension. That 3.0l is sweet, rev happy and eager. It drives better than the 530i.
Oh and the brakes are very good, perhaps the car's quite light, we did lots of laps, not a hint of fade. The active steering is better weighted than the E60's. good feedback during understeer.
agree the 330 handles better....shorter wheel base being main reason. engine is a gem..though i still think mine revs faster and has more power. its very easy to moderate ur power in the car....especially when we were trailing out of a sharp bend n moderating the power in. yup the brakes r superb when we were running them in the dry. in the wet, they were even more brilliant. u hv to give a lot to the tires. PS2...nothing else..n eggs go change ur tires...
I was trying to take some videos of the track runs but got impeded by the rain. The video clips turned out okay but then all I could see were the lights of the car in front, plenty of rain on the windscreen and some blurred pictures of the track.
BTW, I just collected my "cross dresser" from Ah Long. Couple of pictures below.

Wah, Ed your car always looks damn good, even from the back
I really gots to bring mine to Russo.....
Toto and I were thinking about in-car videos during the track sessions, but decided there was no point, we'll just get a whole lot of shakey grey images

Granted, the M-tech bumper has a flat surface whereas mine has a slight cut before the flat edge. However, the end of the trunk is still within the inside edge so its okay with me.
