Is the 520i really facing so many problems? I'm waiting for my 520 and going through the posts (took me 3 days I must say!) has made me rather worried. I can't believe that BMW won't do anything with regards to the stalling problem.. IMHO, it is an extremely dangerous fault and must be rectified. Safety is a big concern of mine.. I really hope they get their act together...

 

my steering is pulling left when travelling on straight highway. is this a wheel balancing issue? Bugger! I hate this and my steering wheel cogs off centre to the left when going straight.
any idea what's going on?

 

Yeah, that's too bad about the stalling problem. I have not heard much about that complaint with the U.S. owners...some...but not a lot.

 

now my steering feels stiffer than b4...dun really like it...as if the AS is not working...is this a version 12 thingy as well?

1st E60 545I is in. Shipped in 28 August but had to wait at Alexandra all this time for LTA inspection. It will be registered tomorrow and be parked at the New Car Delivery Ctr from Friday morning. Its Olivin in colour. I believe the new owner will take delivery on Friday.

Mine will be in sometime end November.

 

Junior, don't get too worried lah. Enjoy your ride when you get it, it will be such a pleasure that you will forgive its shortcomings.

 

Its most likely a steering alignment problem. I have this problem on the first day I collected my car, went to a workshop at Paya Lebar and the guy just turned some screws at the front axle and it became normal again. Its a small problem but extremely irritating.

 

I think something is not right with the ECU in the E60. Quite often, the engine has a heavy drag at low gear as if the first gear refuses to shift to second. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

BTW, I am still waiting for the PDC and bootlid button retrofit to arrive.
