I have a 2005 545i and I echo the OPs sentiments. Everytime you get in the car, it's love all over again.

However, I do like the look of the LCI tails. I do not particularly care for the LCI headlights with the fenestrated side lamps... A bit too Nissan-ish for my taste. But the tails are spectacular and may be a future mod if I keep the car longer...

As for those commenting on the interior..not sure I agree. The only difference in the interior is the additional wood trim on the door, the greater angulation of the door handle and the switches..right? I find the small wood insert in the door tacky and not very aesthetic..... Is there something else I'm missing??

The LCI is the better car.

Actually I prefer the pre-LCI cars (tail lights included). The interior materials seem higher quality on the pre-LCI. This is after driving an LCI loaner car when my 530i was getting serviced. The gauge cluster on the pre-LCI is nicer to look at as well. I do agree that the LCI are a little more ergonomic, with additional storage space in the console for example. I did NOT like the LCI electronic shifter! It looks out of place and cheap in my opinion.

When I was getting the LCI 5 series loaner I was excited to check out the improvements, but then I was glad to get back into my pre-LCI car when all was said and done.

Both cars are excellent.

The leather door handle versus the "tacky" Wood insert door handle.. you be the judge.

There are also more leather in the LCI than the pre-LCI for example the center consol armrest..

I too must agree that I love my pre lci e60 but I will say I like the lci headlights and tails a lot more, but I prefer the pre lci interior door panels and I also prefer the pre lci oem front bumper

The natural brown leather interior in the LCI 535 rocks. Looks terrific.

The E60 reminds me of a large, well-kept 50-year-old woman. She is sleek and toned from workouts at the gym. She is well-coiffed, her clothing is haute couture and her jewelry is exquisite. She's had nips and tucks to keep her skin taut. But in profile, you can't miss her big ass.

Nothing wrong with that my friend, some of us happen to like a well-kept MILF with a little junk in the trunk

The E60 is a damn good looking car, except one flaw. IMO the front bumper is way too small in comparison to the nice big ass. No E60 is complete without at least M-Tech front bumper and side skirts.
