I've tried to find information on this but it wasn't successful so a Question to all of you!

Which factory seat goes to the lowest position relative to the floor in all E60s, pre LCI or LCI, including the M5?

I have LCI comfort seats and I find it too high even in the lowest position, so I would love to know if there is any seat, which can go lower.

How high is it in the lowest position? Does it move down and back?

 

Thanks for your response. It does go up and down and the adjustment is working in every direction, it just doesn't go low enough for my ideal driving position.

 

I asked because if you provide a baseline height, I'll then compare it to mine. Mine actually goes pretty low.

So I took this picture with the seat in the lowest position, completely flat so no tilt and moved it to as far back as it goes and also the thigh support fully retracted. With this measuring at the front the surface is just below 24cm.

What is very interesting is that I just sat in one of my friends pre LCI E60 with comfort seats and that goes much lower than mine, which is an LCI model. Is this something BMW have changed with the LCI model? I wasn't able to measure my friends car but I'll do it later.

I appreciate if you could measure yours and is your car LCI or Pre LCI?

The front of my seat measures close to yours. I was actually referring to the rear section, which feels like I'm sitting on the floor when it's fully lowered.

 

I've got some additional photos. Now the seat is moved to the front of the car but it's still the lowest without tilted backward, so it is flat and at the rear the measurement is approximately 16cm.

 

Mine measures the same as yours when lowered in the rear. I had stated it feels like I'm sitting on the floor, but I never measured it until now.
