So im coming onto a turn ..thinking i knew the turn accellerated...big mistake..it was a sharp turn which i was doing about 55...slammed somewhat on the brakes shifting into steptronic and downshifted....I feel the car gain control on its own while i felt like i lost control for a quick second...was scary seconds from jumping a curb..i was fighting the steering to turn the wheel...but as it lost control it gained it and used the brakes on its own to slow down and gain traction...was amazing I felt the whole process...

Absolutely - and I think this is one of the (many) things that separates BMW from the rest of the pack - the DSC does a tremendous job but doesn't intervene too soon or unless it really needs to, you get just the right amount of leeway to drive like a lunatic when you feel like it with the DSC keeping watch for those times (and I have had more than a few) when your driving skills can't quite match those of BMW's test engineers......

That's what I wonder... if BMWs DSC is any different or better than another manufacture's... like Mercedes ESP, Audi's ESP, Porsches PSM, Acura's VSA, Lexus VSC etc... are they all just as good?
