Can this rear entrance strip actually be removed as per the instructions here: http://tis.spaghetticoder.org/s/view.pl?1/09/04/86

I ask because in the TIS instructions it says you only need to remove the rear seat (not the rear seat backrest) as juiceman456 found out here: https://5series.net/forums/topic/120...st__p__1410736 when taking out the screw (no. 1 above)

Well, pull the seat out and check if you can see the screw without removing the backrest.

No time now. I plan to do it over the next few days and since I won't have much time I need to make sure I don't start it and leave it half finished.
Hence the question in advance if anyone else has come across it

Pulling the seat out is a 10 second job, so you can check it beforehand pretty quickly.

I removed that plastic trim. The screw will be visible when you lift up the rear seat bottom. Just one screw holding it.

Well it didnt come out for me, the bottom metal bit of the back rest was in the way, it can be unscrewed but it won't come out until you move the back rest out of the way.
PITA for such a small thing but the seat and the back rest come out real easy anyway.
