There are 2 blocks on the reverse of the pre lci and only one on the lci so not sure which wires go to where and would love some help please if at all possible as I tried BMW and got the Royal we do not offer this service of fitting or help response.
PLEASE NEED URGENT HELP!!!!!!!

Looks like you'll have to get the wiring diagram for both and also trace out your wires. I'm sure there is info on here about that if you look hard enough. I'd help you out but i don't take a liking to hi-jacked threads.

What about the rear lights - do they also need to be retrofitted with this cable set from BMW or can we just do the headlights?

Use resistor or the old W5W bulb into where the old halo ring just to shut the error ...
Each pin 4 & 5 from the left side expecting 'bout 40ohm individually.
'cuz pre-LCI uses 2 bulbs and LCI uses only 1 so iDrive complaint.

Mine done w/o programming and Halogen -> Xenon ... so ... a mistake ... no ... just not done properly ...
Try experiment w/ 50ohm resistor etc. just be careful of the heat when using resistor.
