If there it is a simple plug n go set up then happy days. If its a re-wire job id be a tad more worried.

kerrh17 - just wondering....so you got the LCI halogen headlights and then put an aftermarket HID kit into it? I guess now it looks the same as OEM pre-LCI xenon? I have a pre-LCI halogen and wondering if this is the easiet way to get the OEM look. Is your way more simple than getting the OEM pre-LCI xenon or LCI xenon headlight?

 

Yeah I thought for the thing when I upgrade mine (but I did pre-LCI halogen to LCI Bi-Xenon) but unfortunately you have to cut off the plug and install new pin on each of at least 8 wire and feed each wire into a new plug per side using BMW retrofit kit. So more of plug-'n-pray ... as not exactly ready to go adapter.

This would be a very popular DIY, there are quite a few of us with pre-LCI Halogen who would like the Xenon projector setup, especially with the LCI eyebrows.

 

Hi there can anyone help I have 530d 2004 and just brought some lci headlight projector halogens to upgrade my pre lci reflector and got the retro kit from BMW but have hit a problem.
There are 2 blocks on the reverse of the pre lci and only one on the lci so not sure which wires go to where and would love some help please if at all possible as I tried BMW and got the Royal we do not offer this service of fitting or help response.

You need to buy the retrofit cable kit (it has the new LCI plug w/ the connectors and also wiring for the tail lights) and along w/ that there's a printed manual but the PDF is available online here in the forum ... use the search ...

You need to combine those to 8+4 ping pre-LCI connectors into the new 12 pin LCI plug from the retrofit kit ... the manual will have info the function & which pin goes where.
