e60 manual trans - resale challenge in US?

Thanks for the feedback. I agree that nearly all dealers will find some reason to "devalue" the trade - regardless of the tranny. I'm leaning towards the 6spd - I can accept a smaller, more passionate market. After all, I'm not buying the car to resell - I'm buying it to drive.
My next move is to negotiate European Delivery. Seems that most salesmen/sales mgrs have the attitude that if you want to negotiate price, maybe this isn't the car for you.

after you learn to shift by the sound, you love it, and i expect i will love SMG too....
