My Ride: My ex-ride: EU '08 LCI 520dA. Space Grey, Sport Seats in Black Leather/Fabric Anthracite, Sport Steering Wheel, A/C with Extended Features, Hi-Fi Speakers, Cup Holders, Cruise with Braking function, Folding Rear Seats, Xenons, Park Distance Control.
According to the honored Finnish autoclub's study of (MY 2003) 2 year old large cars
(EU measurements), the E60 holds its value as a second hand car the best.
Results:
BMW 5-series 86%
Volvo V70 80%
M-B E-series 79%
Also in SUV's BMW stands great:
Volvo XC90 90%
Toyota RAV4 87%
BMW X5 86%

Used cars must hellish expensive up there, a 5 series is worth less than 86% of it's value here after you have got off the dealers forecourt!
Or do you mean a 3 yr old car will retain it's value over a further period of time better, and if so what period of time?
