I took my headlight apart and it was a d1s with the big igniter attached just a heads up people before you order the wrong bulbs. The replacement guide said d2s but they would have never worked on mine had I not taken the headlights out I would have ordered the wrong bulbs.

It's D1S bulbs. Don't get it wrong.

Anyone that tell you otherwise doesn't have proof besides they're broke from buying the OE lightbulb. I have many cars and I've used these for years on end and not 1 complaint.
I can give it a shot... as long as changing it is concerned, opened it like 4 times already, and now it seems a piece of cake .. Just keep a cloth on the bumper, so you dont scratch it. Just four screws, (two of them you just LOOSE, DO NOT REMOVE).
How can I confirm if I have D1 or D2? I have 2006, 530i, XeNon, with adaptive headlamps... I opened the inner side once, and seems like its one with the igniter, however;, not sure as it also has an igniter at hte bottom of the assembly

Also, the ones we have are 35 Watt or 55 Watt? Anyone had any warning light issues with these bulbs?
Thanks again

I am also about to order... skeptical about ebay ones... There was one thread, where one guy was complaining that they hardly emit any light... AchtungE60, you felt something like that? Anyone else had any experience (good/bad)?

I just replaced mine with ebay ones (thanks for the tip AchtungE60!). They took over a month to arrive but they seem to work fine so far. I got the 6000K D1S and they look only slightly more blue than the stock ones which is what I was going for.
