New to the forum, hello.

Just picked up a blk/blk manual 550... 24k mi. with all the packages I know of. Love it, clearly.

As this is not my first BMW I know there are little tricks to do things that may not be obvious(holding in certain buttons, etc) like there were on my E46.

Anyone have anything the would like to share. Maybe we could make a list?
Compile all mods available for e60 + add total cost + send me the money = you'll feel wonderful ... POORER but WONDERFUL!

I will too

My favorite trick is the cruise control stalk: If you have it set but the traffic in front of you is slowing down you can pull the stalk towwards you to slow down/coast, but if you pull it even further towards you, past the detente, then the car will actively slow down (quickly I might add) by applying the brakes! Very, very cool feature.

When you release, your speed is now set where you let go. I use this all the time in traffic.

Oh thats very cool.

One thing I just figured out, at least in my manual, that when I am stopped going up a hill and I remove my foot from the brake with clutch in the car does not roll backwards. It sits in place for a second or two while you apply gas. Love it!
