Here in NY, you duct tape it in your hand. I sleep that way as well. By the time you open the glove box, your capped.
Only kidding- Seems like a lot of us have guns. I do have a HK 45, 6 inch S&W 357, 12 gauge Beretta OU Silver Pigeon Sporting Clays, Scoped Remington 30-06 ADL, and a 12 gauge Remington Wingmaster. With the scoped rifle I can put a five shot group in a four inch circle, from an unsupported sitting position, from two football fields distance away.

I have a Hamann Gun Turret that comes out from my M-Tech Kit in the front and rear and swivels 180 degrees. It's controlled through the iDrive.

Contact Hamann if you want them to fit you with one. 1-800-CAP-DAT-ASS.

For those of you who live in an area where private gun ownership and carrying is permissible, and you have an inclination to keep a pistol in your car, where do you keep it?

The center console is much to small, and there is no space under the sport seats; the little space where the DVD would go if I had the SatNav is also too small. I would prefer someplace I can keep a small (locked) gun case. I would like it in easy access from the driver seat in case it is needed, but otherwise out of site and out of mind.

Any after market or DIY options?

Thanks in advance for the help.

holy crap man you texans are nuts!! if that was okay here in new york city alot of people would be DEAD....LMFAO.. isnt texas one of the first states to allow the death penalty? im not messing with you guys... i agree with nerweezy.. i think carrying a gun in the car is crazy!

Nice guns Dave, Rick, freedom, DRANGED. When I carry, it's always on my person and never left in the car. In the winter it's usually my Beretta 92FS and in summer, it's a S&W .357 Air-lite snub with night sight. This one is all black, made of cadmium and has an internal hammer. Very slick piece.

All the best

Yeap, my SIG 556 SWAT w/ Lancer L5 translucent magazines (30 round) is in the trunk of my ride
Nice weapon! Is it because the 556 is based on the popular 550-series design of SIG’s sister company, Swiss Arms?

I'm more of an HK416 guy than a Sig556 guy.

I think storing a weapon in a vehicle is irresponsible no matter what gun safe/box you may have.
And what if I am not allowed to bring my piece into my work-place? Where am I supposed to keep it? Should I just go out in this crazy world of ours unprotected?

I have a Desert Eagle Pistol 45cal. I keep next to my seat on the side of the belt buckle.

I have to keep it in eye view if I get pulled over, but it does get alil scratched bc i keep it there.
