I'll tell you what.? On my 2001 540 with creaky doors, I lubed them myself.? I picked up pool o-ring lube at the pool supply store. $3 a tube, unlike Carbaflo, and it's waterproof and didn't harm the rubber.? I used to only need to lube them 2X per year.

Seems these door seals are needed by people who suffer creaking problems. I suffer from water ingress when I open any door after it has been raining heavily. Is there any cure for this?

BMW has had the part redesigned. The part number is the same as the current with the exception the new part has the yellow dot on it. Thet are currently in stock in the parts warehouses here in North America. They will be replaced on all 4 doors and they are NOT to use Carboflow on the new seals anymore.
If any of you have any questions, please feel free to contact me here or by private message.

[/quote]Normally I hand wash the car but on the way to the E60 meet in the Netherlands I stopped by one of those spray em off places in the morning but only used the rinse didn't even use soap. Guess maybe some wax must have been hanging around in the lines from the last guy

Do you have a service bulletin or something to reference when I take my car in? My guess is my SA will be clueless.

My door seals aren't squeaking but they are already turning whitish like the ones on my six-year old Lexus... is this another issue fixed by the replacements?
