Has been mapped on a dyno on wednesday. We did a test and it still had 215bhp (original 218bhp) and now has 265bhp.

Mine is a 2008 52D M Sport LCI with 9000 motorway miles on the clock and 9 months old. No probs to date, l expect none for the next four years; Touch wood. oh l did have one of the plastic panel (about 4" x 5" in size) on the lower grill at the front drop off on the motorway (highway for Americans), it cost me ?50 (about $90) to replace it. I would have left the hole in place if it didnt make the front look at bit wierd.
Something else, l don't know if this happens to anyone else, when a change gear to one of the gears nearer to the iDrive, the stereo skips a track or if the stereo is muted or switched off, it comes on. You can probably guess that l am talking about a stick (not Auto). I figured that my big hands were probably messing with the iDrive when l change gear, not necessarily a fault with the car.

My cars consumption is in average 6,6 liters per 100 km, very low CO2's.
Gives heat inside a bit slower than my ol' gasoline 525i's.
Engine trembles a bit in idling (L4).
Perfect engine for everyday use but not a racing car.

April 2006 E61 530xd 231bhp...till remap schedule this Monday, automatic gearbox. 80k km. No problem but had to get CIP soft update to prevent idrive to keep telling me low oil level (due to water condensation in the engine). 1 Run flat ... flat tire.
Love the 4 wheels drive...specially these days

Hi Folks,
Last one was 530d and when i wrote it off it had 170,000 miles on the clock. Always got my own mechanic to change the oil and filter at normal intervals using castrol edge turbo diesel 0 30. I can also tell you the best part these engines do not use any oil. I have never had to top my oil up between services which as you know is around 19,000 miles.
My new car is a 535d with 125,000 miles on it and thankfully its the same story not using any oil.
I would not be surprised if after using good oil and filter that these engines could go on for well over 250,000 miles and i think bmw diesel engines are the best in the world.
Cheers
