Cayman beats 5 series for depreciation (530d depreciates a bit better than the 550, but is still 54% after 4 years)
BUT 5 series beats cayman on number of seats![Big Grin](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/biggrin.gif)

What percentage does the 530/535d Sport Touring give???
The Cayman was said to have a 2 year wait a few months ago, now people are picking them up within weeks or from stock.
The 911 is a car that holds its value, Joker from this forum sold his new one after a year I think he said and he only lost ?4k, can't think of another car that holds it's value like that.

Quite right, but the 550i is the car not to buy if you don't want to loose money, in the UK!! It drinks fuel, it isn't an M car and those that can really afford to run it buy them new.

I think he is asking too much money. If ?52,500 is list then given the 10%+ discounts available then post discount price comes to ?47,250. I bet I could get more off a 550i - maybe even 12% but regardless the guy at ?43k is losing about ?4k which in the grand scheme of things is pretty good.

Retained value after 1 year for the standard car is just 68% !!!

Even if the car is just 6 weeks old, it's still second hand and you've got to count on a loss of up to half of that amount.
I don't think this is as good a deal as it sounds.
