i've noticed for the past year, that when i accellerate my car is delayed. also sometimes when i accelerate too fast, the engine shakes...didn't sound too good. anyways i was wondering what you think is a fix to the delays and why is it shaking?

mine is a 545 05' with around 95k miles. i know it's about time for a tune-up.

any help would be appreciated.

Just replaced the plugs in my 530i with 93K miles and it makes a difference. If your plugs have never been changed, they are due, so don't wait until 100K. Apparently the dealer I bought my car from had reset the timer without replacing the plugs since my plugs were definitely shot.

Not an E60 but I had that on my old Ford Probe (definitely not E60 ). Anyway, it turned out that there was a hole in the air intake hose after the air filter. However, in an E60 it might
Throw idrive errors. But definitely check for codes.
