F10's interior and exterior look much better than E60 in my opinion.
People are reluctant to change and it is difficult to let go of old habits, good or bad.
F10's new exterior and interior will grow on you real fast just like the E60 did when it was first introduced.
I remember many people with E39 saying E39's exterior and interior are much better than the E60.
To be honest I cannot think of one automobile where the predecessor looked/performed better than its uhmm antecessor.

Wait may be Subaru WRX?

All I ask is that the door arm rest is no longer slanted.

The E39 controls were BY FAR, the best! The F10 *tries* to get back to that dynamic.

F10's interior is so similar to F01 is just because of the cost saving purpose IMO ...

European models have internet access. They show google on the rear entertainment system too in the European brochure. From what I've read that won't be available on US models?

Perfectly spot on!

And the interior for F01 and F10, I would like to remind you that new X5 models right now seem VERY similar to the F10 as well! My father bought a 2010 BMW X5 w/ Innovative Package and it seems EXACTLY the same as the F10!

Not to be argumentative and/or biased, I feel that the new iDrive, the plastics used feel cheap compared to the pre-LCI and LCI iDrive control!

The new iDrive OS IS much more user-friendly than the current iDrive OS used for pre-LCI and LCI 5 Series model.

The use of chrome all over the gloxbox area and where the front passenger airbag is seem very modern and somewhat luxurious compared to the dynamic sporty look of the current E60 5 Series.

BUT, one thing to take note from the F01 7 Series, is the way you close the door once you're in the car. You grab on to the woodgrain/or the plastic trim whichever you elect to close the door! That was purely taken from the pre-LCI E60 5 Series, which has disappeared in the LCI 5 Series. I personally like the pre-LCI set-up of the doors for the E60.

it doesn't look like much has changed from the new X5 interior and the new F10
