Hey guys, new 2006 525xi owner here... love the car but have a question that I hope isn't too dumb.

I did a lot of searches on this forum and other places but couldn't find a definite answer.

Do they just replace my existing halogen lights (the bulbs) directly and act as the new headlights?
Do they come in sets of 2? If so would I need to buy 2 sets (4 bulbs)?

Thanks for any help, I love the upgrade and really want to do it but I wanted to make sure I have it correct.

One set is all you need. And they don't replace your low beams if that's what you mean by act as the new headlights.

Just to be sure, do you have xenon or halogen headlights?

Then you can't use the Mtec's. Sorry buddy, you're in the predicament I was last year.

Your options are to get the white bulbs from pinguhk, the custom LEDs with resistors from brabus, or get Orion v2s.

For the halogen headlights, the angel eyes ARE 4 separate bulbs.
