Default E60 angel eye question

Hello i have an e60 530i 2006 and i have a small problem with the angel eyes.. everytime i buy white leds they tend to go bad after a month.. so ireturned to stock and one day i was checking forums and saw a person called DK new york who has a red e60 m5 with bright yellow angel eyes.. (like very bright ones) and i read that he did not put angel eyes but rather a normal h7 bulb ... can this be done? and if yes how does he screw the normal bulb into place? does he use the oem angel eye casing and replace the bulbs or is there another way...
thanks

It means you have the pre LCI lights so no possible to have H7.

Cars after 2007 (LCI) have this as standard (xenon) so no big deal with that, but the inner rings are always brighter
