Hi All Seems like ages since I have posted anything, but I have been reading and enjoying all your posts: anyway to the point Myself and the family have just managed to sell the house(at Last!) We are now preparing for our impending move to Adelaide, South Australia, the indicated value of my car in Australia has surprised me and I have started to think of shipping it over for the sole purpose of trying to raise a bit of extra cash! which I'll need as I will probably be unemployed for a while. I have looked at the costs involved, and it's not cheap! but if I can achieve the money that the likes of http://www.redbookasiapacific.com/au/ it might be worth the hassle, my question is will my car be treat as a "Grey import" and not realise as much as a "Aussie delivered car" the overall sums are, car in UK worth approx ?30,000 car shipping to Oz from UK and duty import tax etc ?8000, but the car appears to be worth more like ?50000 ($A120,000) Wondered whether there are any forum members that could pass on any advice, and whether anyone in Australia that might confirm what I've read. I have E-mailed a couple of Main Dealers out in Oz but as yet they have not responded.
